An arthritis and eczema drug that blocks the enzyme growth hormone's signal runs through.
A JAK inhibitor. Approved for polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis and for psoriatic arthritis from age 2, and for atopic dermatitis from age 12, alongside seven adult indications.
Risks. It carries the strongest class of warning the FDA issues, for serious infection, cancer, heart attack, stroke and fatal blood clots, and it is approved for children from the age of two.
