Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information GrowTallest ("we", "us") collects when you use growtallest.com, why we collect it, and who we share it with. GrowTallest is operated by GROW TALLEST, based in Singapore.

Information we collect

• Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your email address and, if you use Google sign-in, basic profile information from Google. We don't collect a password ourselves — Clerk handles that.
• Payment information. Card payments are processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe passes us only your subscription status and a customer reference ID.
• Bitcoin payments. If you pay in Bitcoin, we store the payment address we gave you, the plan and amount, and the IDs of the transactions sent to that address, all linked to your account. Bitcoin transactions are public by design, so anyone can see payments to an address, though not who made them.
• Usage data. We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand traffic to the site. It's cookieless and anonymized — it doesn't identify you individually or track you across other sites. We also keep daily totals of a few steps, such as how many checkouts were started and paid; these are plain counts with nothing about who took them.
• Email updates. If you ask to be emailed when a new article is published, we keep your email address, the wording you agreed to and when. We use it for that and nothing else, and delete it when you unsubscribe or ask us to. You can unsubscribe at any time at growtallest.com/email, or from the link in any email we send.
• Affiliate applications. If you apply to the affiliate program, we collect the link to your profile, your main platform, an approximate follower range, and what you write about how you'd promote the site. If we approve you, we also collect the name and email on your PayPal or Wise account, and your Bitcoin address if you give one, so we can pay you. This is stored against your account and is only used to review your application and send your commission.

How we use it

To create and secure your account, to grant and check access to member content, to process and manage your subscription (including renewals and cancellations), to respond if you contact us, and to understand and improve the site.

Cookies and local storage

Clerk sets a session cookie so you can stay signed in — this is required for the site to function and isn't used for tracking or advertising. We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

If you arrive through an affiliate link, we store that affiliate's code in a first-party cookie (gt_ref) for 30 days, so that your discount is applied at checkout and the affiliate who sent you is credited. If you're in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, we ask you first and only save it if you agree. It holds the code and nothing else, it isn't shared with anyone, and it can't be read by other sites. Clearing your cookies removes it.

When you're signed in and have a membership, we set a cookie (gt_member) that holds only the value 1, so the site can hide its "Join" button from you. It grants nothing and holds nothing about you. It lasts 30 days, and is removed the next time the site finds you are no longer a member.

If you start an affiliate application without being signed in, your answers are kept in your own browser's local storage until the application is sent or 7 days pass, whichever comes first, so that creating an account doesn't lose them.

Who we share data with

We share data with the vendors that run the site on our behalf, and nobody else:

• Clerk — authentication and account management.
• Stripe — payment processing and billing.
• Vercel — hosting and anonymized analytics.
• Upstash — stores Bitcoin payment records and the email update list.
• Resend — sends the emails we send you, such as confirming an email-update sign-up or a Bitcoin payment receipt. It receives your email address and the message.
• mempool.space and Blockstream — we ask them whether payments have reached your payment address. They receive the address, not your account details.

We don't sell your data, and we don't share it with anyone for their own marketing purposes.

Data retention

We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. Stripe retains payment records as required by law and for tax/accounting purposes even after a subscription ends. If you delete your account, any card subscription is cancelled so you aren't billed again, and your Bitcoin payment address and any unpaid order are removed. We keep a record of payments already received, linked only to an account number, for our accounts and in case a refund is needed. Billing records held by Stripe follow Stripe's own retention obligations.

Your rights

You can review or update your account details from your account page, or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal linked there. You can also delete your account from the account menu. To request a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, contact our Data Protection Officer below. We reply within 30 days.

Data Protection Officer

GROW TALLEST has appointed a Data Protection Officer, as Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act requires. Reach them atgrowtallest.com@gmail.com with "Data protection" in the subject line.

Children

GrowTallest is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes materially, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
