STC2 antibodies
Cells and tissue onlyNot measured in peopleResearch onlyAntibody
A drug that would block the off-switch on the enzyme that frees IGF-1, which does not exist for people and has never had a trial registered.
Antibodies against stanniocalcin-2, the protein that binds PAPP-A covalently and jams it. Blocking the inhibitor would free the protease, the pharmacological version of the rare human STC2 variants. Not approved and not in trials: no registered study of any stanniocalcin drug exists, for growth or otherwise.
Risks. Nothing has ever been tested in a person, so nothing is known about its safety.
