A compound from grape skin. Whether it really switches SIRT1 on has been argued over for fifteen years.
A stilbene from grape skin, sold as a supplement. Whether it activates SIRT1 directly has been disputed since the apparent activation was traced to a fluorescent tag on the test substrate; a later paper argued the activation is real but needs particular bulky residues. In cells much of its effect appears indirect, through phosphodiesterase inhibition raising AMPK.
Risks. Its trials in people are mixed, and the way it worked in rabbits may be an oestrogen effect, which is the signal that ends growth.
