Approved for a growth disorderHeight measured in peopleBy injectionPeptideAlso Yuviwel, TransCon CNP
A slow-release version of CNP, the body's own signal for the NPR2 receptor, carried on an inert polymer so it lasts far longer, approved for children aged 2 and over whose growth plates are still open.
A sustained-release prodrug: CNP-38, identical to the last 38 residues of human CNP, on an inert PEG carrier from which it is slowly released, giving continuous NPR2 exposure at a lower peak concentration. FDA accelerated approval in February 2026, for children aged 2 and older with open growth plates.
Risks. Blood pressure can drop, and vomiting, sore injection sites and limb pain were all commoner than on placebo.
