A tiny RNA made almost only in cartilage that turns down how much of certain proteins a cell makes; it is a research subject, not something anyone takes.
A short non-coding RNA, made almost only in cartilage, that binds messenger RNA and holds down how much protein is made from it. It sits in intron 16 of WWP2 and is transcribed with it, and SOX9 drives that transcription directly, so the factor running the cartilage programme also makes the microRNA that protects its output. A research route, not a medicine.
Risks. There is nothing to take, so there are no side effects to report; the skeletal evidence is in mice.
