Manufactured IGF-1 packaged with its natural carrier protein so it lasted much longer in the blood, approved once and then taken off the market.

An equimolar complex of recombinant IGF-1 with recombinant IGFBP-3, the binding protein supplied alongside the hormone, so the pair circulates as the body's own complex does and lasts far longer. Approved by the FDA in December 2005, and no longer available.
