An injected drug for adults on dialysis that works on the same calcium sensor as cinacalcet.
An intravenous peptide agonist at the calcium-sensing receptor, given at the end of a haemodialysis session. Indicated for secondary hyperparathyroidism in adults with chronic kidney disease on haemodialysis.
Risks. It has not been shown to be safe in children, and it has only been studied in adults on dialysis.
