A drug that acts as a sponge for TNF, soaking it up before it can act. Approved for children with arthritis from the age of two.

Not an antibody but a decoy receptor: the TNF-binding part of the p75 receptor fused to an antibody tail, which mops up TNF-α and lymphotoxin-α before they reach a cell. Given by subcutaneous injection, and approved for polyarticular juvenile idiopathic arthritis and juvenile psoriatic arthritis from two years of age.
