A mould toxin used in laboratories, which dissolves the internal scaffolding that holds a cell in a flattened shape.

A fungal metabolite that caps the growing ends of actin filaments so the stress fibres dissolve, returning a chondrocyte to a rounded shape. A research reagent and a mycotoxin, approved nowhere.

Risks. A poison. It kills half of mice at a tiny dose, and at a third of that dose it causes severe brain malformations in embryos.
