A hair-loss and arthritis drug that blocks the enzyme growth hormone's signal runs through.
A JAK inhibitor. Approved in the US for patients aged 12 and over with severe alopecia areata, and in the EU for juvenile idiopathic arthritis from age 2.
Risks. It carries the strongest class of warning the FDA issues, for serious infection, cancer, heart attack, stroke, blood clots and death, and that warning covers the children aged 12 and over it is approved for.
