A cheap, long-approved drug that tops up the body’s own antioxidant, also sold as a supplement.

The cysteine donor that replenishes glutathione, approved as the treatment for paracetamol overdose and as a mucolytic, and sold widely as a supplement. It is the compound every antioxidant rescue experiment at the growth plate has used.

Risks. Well tolerated and long used, with nothing known about what it does to a growing skeleton.
