A drink used to test whether an adult's pituitary can still release growth hormone; it is a test, not a treatment.

A ghrelin receptor agonist, FDA approved in 2017 as a diagnostic test for adult GH deficiency: it is taken orally and GH is then measured. About 87% sensitivity and 96% specificity against the insulin tolerance test. Discontinued in the US; authorised in the EU as Ghryvelin. A single-use diagnostic, not a treatment.

J Clin Endocrinol Metab, 2018

Risks. It stretches the heart's electrical cycle enough to risk a dangerous rhythm, so it must not be taken with other drugs that do the same.
