FOXO4-DRI

Cells and tissue onlyNot measured in peopleResearch onlyPeptide
A laboratory peptide designed to make worn-out cells destroy themselves.
A synthetic retro-inverso peptide that disrupts the FOXO4–p53 interaction, releasing p53 to kill senescent cells selectively. Created as a research senolytic; no sponsor has developed it as a product.
Risks. Nothing is known about its safety in people, and in mice clearing these cells made lung blood pressure worse.
